Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026.
ICKO Solutions Ltd. ("ICKO Solutions," "we," "us," or "our") is a company registered in British Columbia, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect information in connection with this website, ickosolutions.com (the "Site"). It does not apply to information collected through separate, signed client service agreements, which are governed by the terms of those agreements.
By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Information you provide directly. If you use the contact form, we collect the information you enter, such as your name, company, work email, optional phone number, inquiry type, subject and message. The submission is processed through our website hosting/form-processing provider so it can be delivered to ICKO Solutions and may be retained in the provider dashboard and our ordinary business systems for follow-up.
- Information sent by other means. If you email us directly using the contact details on this Site, we receive and retain that correspondence in the ordinary course of business, the same as any other business email.
- Basic technical information. Our web hosting provider may automatically log standard technical information common to most websites, such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages visited. Those hosting logs may exist independently of the consent-controlled Google Analytics described below.
2. Cookies and tracking technologies
This Site uses Google Analytics ("GA4"), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC ("Google"), to help us understand how visitors use the Site, for example which pages are viewed and how visitors arrived at the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as your IP address (which Google may use to derive an approximate location), device and browser type, and browsing activity on the Site. This information is sent to and processed by Google, including on servers located outside of Canada.
Google Analytics is not active by default. When you first visit this Site, you will see a banner asking whether you accept or decline analytics cookies. No connection to Google Analytics is made, and no analytics cookie is set, unless and until you click "Accept." If you click "Decline," Google Analytics remains off unless you later change your preference. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer.
We do not use Google Analytics to identify you personally, and we do not combine analytics data with the contact information you may separately send us by email or through the contact form. You can learn more about how Google collects and processes this data at Google's own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy), and you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using Google's official browser add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Aside from Google Analytics, this Site does not use advertising pixels or other third-party tracking technology. All typefaces used on this Site are hosted directly on our own server rather than loaded from a third-party font provider, so visiting this Site does not share your IP address with an external font service.
If we add any further analytics, advertising, or tracking technology, we will update this Policy to describe what is used and will request your consent, in the same way, before non-essential cookies or trackers are set.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your inquiries and requests;
- Provide, administer, and improve our services to clients;
- Maintain ordinary business records of client and prospective-client communications;
- Maintain and secure the Site; and
- Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations.
4. Our legal basis for processing (EU/UK visitors)
If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") to process your information:
- Consent when you voluntarily submit the contact form or send us an email;
- Legitimate interests in responding to business inquiries and operating our business, where those interests are not overridden by your own rights; and
- Legal obligation where processing is necessary to comply with the law.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us host the Site, process website form submissions, provide email, or operate related business systems, subject to appropriate contractual or confidentiality obligations;
- Professional advisors (such as lawyers or accountants), where necessary; or
- Third parties where required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ICKO Solutions, our clients, or others.
6. International data transfers
ICKO Solutions operates across Canada, the United States, and Europe. As a result, information you provide to us may be processed, transmitted, or stored outside of your own country of residence, including in Canada. Where required by applicable law, we take reasonable steps to ensure information transferred internationally receives an appropriate level of protection.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, maintain appropriate business records, and comply with legal, accounting or contractual obligations. Contact-form submissions may remain in our hosting/form-processing provider and ordinary business systems until they are deleted in accordance with those needs.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Canada (PIPEDA): the right to access personal information we hold about you, to challenge its accuracy, and to withdraw consent to its collection or use, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
- European Union / UK (GDPR): the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
- California and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws: the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information), and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@ickosolutions.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests.
9. Children's privacy
This Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information in our possession. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Third-party links
This Site may reference or link to third-party websites, including government and enterprise procurement portals, which are not operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party site, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
13. Contact us
Questions or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal information can be directed to contact@ickosolutions.com. ICKO Solutions Ltd. is registered in British Columbia, Canada.
This Policy was prepared to reflect ICKO Solutions' current practices as described to us, and is intended as a thorough starting point rather than a substitute for professional legal advice. Because privacy obligations vary across Canada, U.S. states, and the EU/UK, and can change over time, we recommend a final review by a qualified lawyer before relying on this Policy as definitive, particularly if the Site's data practices, vendors, analytics or client-intake processes change.
